and I am an illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. I primarily work digitally and enjoy experimenting with combining the various textures of analogue medium with digital effects. When I’m not making art, I love reading poetry and often draw visual inspiration from the metaphorical expressions found in literature.
Every week, I volunteer to teach art at my church, and connecting with the children there has become my greatest learning experience. It teaches me to step back from an adult perspective by embracing their whimsical, pure thoughts and imaginations exactly as they are. Spending so much time welcomed into their own worlds naturally inspired me to gravitate toward picture book illustration.
My wish is to gift colorful imaginations to children and to offer a quiet yet deep resonance to adults. I hope all my works, not just my picture book illustrations, can serve as a soft and gentle bridge that connects warmly with everyone beyond the frame.
